Started with one mower and eleven neighbors on the same street.
Small company, short routes
We've turned down more work than we've taken in the last three years. That's the only reason your lawn gets cut on the same day every week.
How this started
Rick Delaney bought a used zero-turn in 2011 to cover a slow winter in the trades. Eleven properties that first summer, all within a mile of his house on Cedar Ridge Road.
Fifteen years later there are nine of us and we still run routes the same way: everything within about twenty minutes of the shop, so a crew that gets held up on one job isn't stealing from the next one. It's why we say no to work in the far suburbs, and it's why we can tell you on Monday what day your lawn gets cut.
Rick still walks most estimates himself. If you get a quote from us, you talked to the person whose name is on the truck.
Where we are today
Around 290 residential and 50 small commercial, every week in season.
Six full-time year round. Most have been here more than four seasons.
From 180+ reviews across Google and Facebook.
Four things we won't bend on
The quote is the price
We walk the property before we give a number, so there's no reason to revise it later. If we got the estimate wrong, that's ours to eat — it has happened twice and we ate it both times.
No contracts, no auto-renew
We ask for the season because routing depends on it, but you can stop any week with a text. In February we ask whether you want us back. We don't just start billing you again.
We don't cut wet ground
Saturated turf tears and ruts, and the damage takes a month to grow out. If it rains on your day you get a text and we come the next dry one. You're never billed for a visit we didn't make.
We'll tell you not to buy something
Half the sod calls we get should be aeration and overseeding at a fifth of the price. We say so. It costs us money on the day and earns it back over the next decade.
Licensed, insured, and happy to prove it
We carry $2 million in general liability and full workers' compensation on every employee. Applicators are state certified and we're a licensed commercial pesticide applicator business.
Ask and we'll email the certificates the same day — your HOA or property manager can be named directly on them.
